Multi-million Eastern plaza and hotel are the vital components of the Kuhara Point Project which includes the 182-unit Kuhara Court condominiums.

Towering over the Eastern Plaza complex will be an 18-storey business hotel (ohoto above) with  171 standard rooms, seven superior rooms and two executive suites.

It will also have the largest banquet hall in Tawau covering an area of 23,138 square feet that could easily accommodate 100 tables for special occasions.

The new Eastern Plaza shopping complex will offer 146,520 square feet of net retail area.

The lower ground floor, ground floor and the first floor will have anchor tenants such as departmental stores and supermarkets.

The complex will provide covered car parking facilities for 650 passenger cars in addition to 49 surface bays.

Located at Mile 1, Kuhara Road, the complex offers strategic location to retailers for it lies within the most-developed belt of the town. It also has a dual access to both the Jalan Kuhara and Jalan Apas.

Although Tawau has made tremendous progress in agriculture, aquaculture and tourism, it admittedly lacks quality retail outlets and hotel accommodation although it is the second most important town in Sabah after the State capital. Kuhara Point will fill that void.
