AirAsia, Fly Asian Express (FAX) and Transmile are using this new low cost terminal. It is estimated that between 1.6 million and 1.8 people would visit Sabah via Terminal Two in 2008. This new Terminal Two underlines the efforts by Sabah government and MAB to further improve air travel experience in Sabah. The new Terminal Two building has 26 check-in counters for international and domestic flights, six aircraft parking bays capable of accommodating B737 and A320 aircrafts. The terminal also has seven luggage x-ray machines, 13 immigration counters and three 70-metre long baggage carousels, each with the capacity to handle 1,200 bags per hour. Foods and price : There are 4 food and beverage outlets. Lasi Lemak for example is Rm 9.90. Mike Tea is Rm. 2.90. A bottle of SPRITZER drinking water 1500ml is Rm 3.70. The new Terminal Two building has 26 check-in counters for international and domestic flights, six aircraft parking bays capable of accommodating B737 and A320 aircrafts. It can handle 1,200 passengers at any one time during the peak period. The
floor size at level one is 10,307 square meters while level two, 3,200 square
meters, providing sufficient comfort space for all passengers. Also available
are 750 public seating and 500 trolleys for use by passengers. Most Malaysian today choose to fly with AirAsia because of Low fares and new airplanes. The main operator of Terminal 2 KKIA is Air Asia with some other low cost air carriers that fly into T2.

The need to upgrade the terminal again will depend on the growth of AirAsia, Fly Asian Express (FAX) and Transmile which are using the terminal. MAB had already requested the relevant parties to provide shuttle service for passengers who needed to go to Terminal One to continue their journeys. The new Terminal Two underlines the efforts by Sabah government and MAB to further improve air travel experience in Sabah. Azmi believed that passengers and airport users at KKIA would experience more comfortable visits. The terminal also has seven luggage x-ray machines, 13 immigration counters and three 70-metre long baggage carousels, each with the capacity to handle 1,200 bags per hour.

Taxi A taxi fare coupon can be bought at the Taxi Coupon Counter. The fare from Airport to city centre is around RM20, while to Damai is RM47.50 and to UNIMAS is RM32.50 one way.
