2015 September Wisma Sabah -
Sabah artists Harold Egn Eswar (right) and Kwan Thung Seng are among those
commissioned to bring some arts to Kota Kinabalu City's walls.
The artists from the Cracko Art Group were commissioned by Petronas to do two
large-scale murals on the walls of the buildings Wisma Sabah and Wisma
1- Three-storey wall of Wisma Intiutama along Jalan KK Bypass.
2- The entire outer façade of Wisma Sabah
The mural on the entire outer façade of Wisma Sabah, is a depiction of the
Kadazan God’s daughter, Huminodun, the inspiration for the Harvest Festival
beauty queen.
The artists comprise Kenji Chai, who will act as mentor, Harold Reagan Eswar,
Kwan Thung Seng, Anddy Romeo Dulait, Crig Roynno Francis @ Cracko, Suparno Sapar
@ Phey and Lydiana Illiyas.
A cluster of lonely pillars on a slab of barren land, remnants of a building
that once was.
Graffiti covered each pillar, many with haunting themes.
I Love my Antu gonie!
At the back where a lonely wall still stood, an entire mural covered it,
with themes of wildlife animals and the rainforest and an emphatic gaia-like
maiden in an embracing posture (as is 2010 to 2011)
The site was that of the old Department of Welfare that burnt down.
It was to have been an art museum. When that did not happen, students from an
art school turned the remaining pillars into pieces of art as they stood - a
street art museum unsanctioned but original and rebellious as art should be.

permission to take their pictures, yes I kindly requested.

Him: Boleh bah, ambik saja.
Me: Great work here! Kamu kena kasi bayarankah buat lukisan banyak ni?
Him: Teda, kami saja2 bah ni buat. Ramai lagi org yg lain buat.
Me : Oo bah, trima kasih aah (kemudian beredar balik kereta).
