| 1 | Cover your nose and mouth when you cough or sneeze. |
| 2 | Wash your hands often with soap and water, especially after you cough or sneeze. Alcohol-based hand cleaners are also effective. |
| 3 | Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth. |
| 4 | Try to avoid close contact with sick people. |
| 5 | If you are sick with a flu-like illness, stay home for 7 days after your symptoms begin or until you have been symptom-free for 24 hours, whichever is longer, except to seek medical care or for other necessities. |
| 6 | Keep away from other household members as much as possible. This is to keep you from infecting others and spreading the virus further. |

- A small public hospital close to the
shore with no medical officer.
A medical doctor Ernst Sternfeld was sent from Sandakan to Tawau between 1939-1940 for only a few months. |
Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Kota Kinabalu
| Queen Elizabeth Hospital - the largest hospital in Sabah. Opened on 14th
September 1957. The hospital is one kilometer from the KK city centre with an
