MPH Bookstores, opened its largest bookstore in Malaysia in Mid Valley
Megamall on 29 March 2000.
Being the largest bookstore in Malaysia Spanning 36,000 sq ft., it has a
wide variety of books in three main languages in Malaysia, with English
books being the majority. Uncommon to bookstores in Malaysia, MPH Bookstore
in Mid Valley provides Internet access and has a coffee shop at one of the
entrances.
The is a lovely little fountain garden at the
middle of the store. Sitting on the bench surrounding the fountain and
reading your favorite books is an unforgettable experience.
The 36, 000 square foot MPH bookstore is a wonderful place to go, especially for the ones who love being around
with books most of the
time. MPH's atmosphere is totally comforting.

Diverse Topics
A comprehensive collection of books is available to cater to the needs of
customers. Topics as diverse as horticulture, psychology, life science,
performing arts, literary criticism, and more.
Self-service Search
Equipped with PCs at strategic locations around the store for book
aficionados' convenience. Books could be searched either by title, author or
ISBN and can locate them in the store as they are arranged according to
sections.
Customer Care
Service desks at various locations around the store to serve customers with
pleasant smiles and cheerful dispositions. Among the services offered are:
special orders, gift wrapping, delivery to your doorstep, assistance to set
up your home library, and large orders for institutions or companies.
Professional Enclave
An enclosed, private section with chairs to provide comfort and a better
frame of mind for those intending to enhance their managerial, IT, business
or professional skills. Customers can sit and browse at leisure before
making their choice. There are 'Surf Stations' here, where computers
equipped with Internet access is available for a small fee.
Centre Courtyard
Attraction with its garden-like setting. Customers can just sit on the
benches to rest their tired feet while enjoying the ambience of the store as
they escape into a realm where they are surrounded by knowledge. You're in
book haven!
KidZone
The cultivation of good reading habits begin at a young age and with this in
mind, we have planned a spectacular array of choices for them. We have
housed a wealth of knowledge for the children; the future bearers of this
nation with the hope that it will quench their quest for knowledge and
inquisitive minds. We have not only placed the development of children in
books, but we also feel that their creativity and social skills need to be
honed. MPH Mid Valley has an event area and stage where the kids can enjoy
shows, performances, workshops, and the like.
MRC Lounge
MPH Reader's Circle members can utilise the exclusive MRC lounge to sit,
relax, and browse through books before deciding on their purchase. They can
also check on their accumulated points and get information on the latest
activities and promotions held. This will also be a great place for meeting
old friends and making new ones.
Cafe
'The Book Café' is for customers to enjoy a cup of coffee with cakes
or pastries while reading.
Music Section
An alternative collection of music like 'Inspiration' to lift you up or
'Asian music' when you're in the mood for something exotic. 'New Age
music' to sooth the raw edges after a long day at work or 'Country &
Western' will make you nostalgic.
A boy from Sabah made his first trip to
Kuala Lumpur (November 2006). Upon the first day of arrival Kuala Lumpur, he
came to visit MPH Bookstore in Mid Valley Megamall.
