This hotel is a shop-house building style hotel. When booking a room in small
towns in Malaysia, if you like to have a room with windows, always specified
this requirement clearly in your booking reservation.
Heritage Hotel belong to the category of Shop House Building hotel. In small
towns in Malaysia, hotels building architecture usually falls into 2 category :
1) Stand-alone building 2) Shop-house building.
A shop-house style hotel usually occupy couple of sections in a block of shop
building, dividing the floors into small rooms for accommodation. B&B, Inns and
Budget Hotels falls into this Shop-house building style.
Because a shop building is not designed as a hotels, thus many of these type of
hotel having rooms that never have a window. Uninformed first time visitors to
these small towns usually disappointed and surprised how come a hotel room not
having a window.
And because shop-houses are located in town center the busy part of the town, it
is also the noisiest part of the area. Hotels operators like to set up their
business in the in busiest part of the town - the noisy part of the town.
Choosing a room with windows open to the street could also means a room open to
