and will increase to 140,978 by 2010. Papar is dubbed ‘the Rice Bowl of Sabah’, the agricultural town of Papar is situated 38.5 kilometers from Kota Kinabalu. Journey from Kota Kinabalu to reach Papar takes approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour by car and 1 hour and 30 minutes by train. The main attraction in Papar would be its tamu (Sunday market)
