Kolej Datu Patinggi Abang Haji Abdillah is a premier secondary school situated
in Petra Jaya, Kuching.
It has 800 over students of Form One until Form Five.
There are 60 over teachers in the school.
The Principal is Pn. Hjh Mastura Hj. Anuar as the Excellent Principal.
The school was opened in 1978 to cater for the sixth formers and was formerly
known as Junior Science College.
It was awarded the Cluster Excellence School title in 2008 and the niche areas
are English language (Academic), Rugby (Sports) and ICT.
The Kolej is Sarawak’s best school in the Day School Category as it obtained
2.22 of the School Grade Point Average (GPS) in the SPM results 2011 and ranked
third in the overall category.
The school boasts of having 200 over computers, with two Computer Kiosks
accessible to students during and after school hours. The school is also an
active member of the British Council Connecting Classroom Online Brigade.
They participated in the Big Dance 2012 School Pledge via internet in
conjunction with the welcoming event of the Olympic torch to the United Kingdom.
