Entry Requirements

Science combination: SPM/ 0-Levels forecast/ actual results with minimum 7AS, inclusive of English, Chemistry, Physics and Additional Mathematics.

Humanities combination: SPM/ 0-Levels forecast/ actual results with minimum 7AS, inclusive of English, and Additional Mathematics.

At Sunway University College, we prepare students for the General Certificate of Education (GCE) Advanced Level qualification through examinations by the University of Cambridge International Examinations (CIE)

CIE is one of the world's leading providers of international qualifications Wd assessments, and is a part of the University of Cambridge Local Examinations Syndicate (UCLES) which has developed and promoted qualifications around the world for almost 150 years.

The GCE A Level qualification places emphasis on knowledge, understanding, reasoning abilities and skills. It is one of the most recognised pre-university qualifications in the world and is accepted as proof of academic ability for entry into world-class universities in the United Kingdom, USA, Singapore, Germany, Australia, New Zealand. Canada and Malaysia, to name a few.

Many of ourA Level graduates have been accepted by premier universities like Cambridge, Oxford, Imperial College, London School of Economics, Durham, Harvard, Princeton, Boston, Stanford, Duke, Auckland, Sydney, Melbourne, Monash and the National University of Singapore.

Generally, the A Level programme at Sunway University College is offered as a 1.5-year university preparatory programme, whilst a special 1-year programme is available to high achievers who have excellent results in the GCE 0-Level/SPM or equivalent, and who perform well in a selection interview conducted at Sunway University College..

The GCE A Level is a globally recognised pre-university qualification and Sunway University College -has an established tradition of academic excellence and track record of good results. In the June 2006 examinations, our students achieved an overall pass rate of 97%;

25% with 4A grades and above, 42% with 3A grades and above, 54% with 2A grades and above, and 61% with at least 1A grade. The overall pass rate in the GCE A-Level examinations in June 2007 rose to 99%, thus continuing a proven track record of success in the A Level examinations.

Our students are also recipients of the Top Student Awards from the CIE, for Biological Science (1998), Business Subjects, Mathematics (1999), Business Subjects (2003), Mathematics (2004), General Paper (2004), Physics (2006) and General Paper (2006). In the June 2007 examination session, Sunway University College students garnered the Top in the world award for AS Level and A Level Mathematics, and Top in Malaysia award, for Chemistry and Economics at AS Level.
