Twintech Visioncare Centre is another successful milestone by IUCTT in its bid to encourage both local and International students in pursuing their exciting and challenging career path to become a professional optometrist.

Twintech Visioncare Centre ( TVC) is a fully-equipped Optometric Eye Care Clinic. Officially established in 2005 with the primary aim of providing Optometric eye care services to the public, it is the clinical outfit affiliated to the Faculty of Health Science & Medicine at IUCTT, run in conjunction with the Bachelor of Optometry degree programme. Services at TVC are rendered by optometric consultants who are faculty members simultaneously engaged in the teaching of the Optometry degree programme. By virtue of its nature and the types of services rendered, it is the natural site for the clinical training of students pursuing the Bachelor of Optometry degree programme at IUCTT.

Operated as an independent entity from the faculty, it is fully owned by IUCTT’s parent company Twintech Holdings Sdn Bhd. The main center is currently situated at Wisma Twintech, where the Faculty is housed. It is open from Monday to Friday between the hours of 9.00 am – 5.15 pm.

The general public can avail the facility of eye care consultation. The center provides routine eye/vision consults for those who require optical correction be it spectacles or contact lenses. TVC provides extended services by way of co management with a specialist Eye Hospital for those with pathological problems afflicting their visual system.

TVC also provides specialist optometric services for those with non-pathological vision disorders requiring more than just spectacles/contact lenses, children with particular visual disorders, those requiring rehabilitation of vision by virtue of being low vision and those requiring specialized contact lens fittings/applications. The Opening of Twintech Visioncare Centre shows the capability and commitment of IUCTT in providing the best education for its students. TVC wishes to pioneer the market by being the first optometric center wholly managed by its own faculty members with a clear message about its ability to provide primary eye/vision care.

IUCTT, which is only 20-minutes drive from the heart of Kuala Lumpur, provides an excellent range of courses such as its 6-months Intensive English Programme, HND, IUCTT Diploma, Bachelors Degree and also Masters Degree courses. IUCTT students will stand to receive joint awards with UK universities for some of these IUCTT-conducted courses. All courses conducted at IUCTT have been duly approved by the Ministry of Higher Education and the National Accreditation Board (LAN).

IUCTT continuously strives to improve its education standards by consistently collaborating with its education counterparts from all over the world. Among countries that have affiliated themselves with IUCTT are China, the United Kingdom, Vietnam and Indonesia. Consequently, these collaborations create great win-win opportunities and technology transfers in terms of Twinning Programmes, Staff and Academic Co-operation, Research, Students' Exchange Programmes and many more.

The burgeoning pace of Private Higher Education in Malaysia has not weakened IUCTT’s quests in continually achieving success and notable achievements as can be witnessed through the string of awards and recognitions that IUCTT has received in the past 12 years of its humble establishment.

Among the major achievements were the awarding of ‘University College’ status in 2003 by the Ministry of Higher Education (Malaysia), the ISO 9001: 2000 Certification, the bestowment of the prestigious Multimedia Super Corridor Status (MSC), the International Computer Driving License (ICDL) Examination & Training Operator recognition, achieving a full-fledged WI-FI Coverage Campus status and also IUCTT'S successful opening of its branch campuses in the East coast state of Kelantan and across the Peninsular to the East Malaysian state of Sabah.

IUCTT’s main library is furnished with the latest modern facilities as part of IUCTT’s aims to provide a comfortable and conducive environment for the students. The library space is big enough to accommodate up to 300 students. Students are able to access more than 20 000 printed books, collections and journals. The library is also equipped with online databases that consist of digital collections, viz: Online Journals and E-books for their reference purposes.
