Monash University Malaysia was established on February 23,
1998 in Bandar Sunway upon invitation of the Malaysian Government. Its establishment is a joint-venture
between Monash University in Australia and the Sunway Group.
As one of the eight Monash campuses, Monash Malaysia is
subject to the University for all matters related to academic development, teaching and support. The
Monash University Act, rules and regulations are observed to ensure that the academic quality expected of
Monash University are met.
