There are only two species in this genus of Ceriagrion:

1 - Ceriagrion Bellona (Endemic of Borneo)
2 - Ceriagrion Cerinorubellum 彩虹細蟌

The thorax of Ceriagrion Bellona males is orange and greenish with bright red abdomens while the females have olive green thorax.

Males look quite similar to C. cerinorubellum (Ornate Coraltail) which is the more common of the two Ceriagrion species found in Borneo.

Males of C. Bellonalook and C. cerinorubellum look similar to each other.

These two Ceriagrion species are commonly found in Borneo.

This pair of Ceriagrion Bellona were found mating and ovipositing along a small stream in hilly forest edge in Sabah

Genus Ceriagrion are powerful hunters with strong jaws. The female Ceriagrion Cerinorubellum was seen hunted down a fly double her body size.
