Eyes and Thorax of a male Prodasineura hyperythra
Prodasineura hyperythra is a very finely built, inconspicuous species found
in sluggish forest streams in the north, west and east of Borneo island. It is
local, but common where it occurs.
Males are recognized by the fine red stripe running almost the length of the
abdomen.
Females are much darker.

Tip of abdomen of a male Prodasineura hyperythra is the four terminal appendages
(the cerci and paraprocts, or male claspers for copulation.
Segment 2 of a male Prodasineura hyperythra is the Accessory genitalia, used for
transferring sperm to the female during copulation.
