Open-Air Seafood Restaurants in

Tawau Seafood Paradise

After we checked out from Sipadan Island, it was too early to go to the air port, so we decided to get our dinner in Tawau. Without knowing where to go, the hotel driver dropped us at the Tawau town where there were few live seafood restaurants.

We had no idea what’s the market price of the seafood so we couldn’t really tell whether the seafood there are cheap. We didn’t know which restaurant to choose also but finally we stopped at Kam Ling Fresh Seafood Restaurant because the boss welcomed us personally and introduced us their seafood. I like this kind of service, especially when the boss said, “come to have a look, you don’t have to immediately decide to eat here, you can come back later.” I really like his service. But I don’t really like it when he said “guaranteed very fresh, still swimming in the tank.” He sounds as if we couldn’t tell the fishes were swimming in the tank or we didn’t know that live seafood means fresh -_-”..................................
