The giant statue of Guan Yin
The Lim Fah San Monastery is situtated along the busy Jalan Tabuan, and is one of the most popular Buddhist temple in Kuching. The giant statue of Guan Yin, the Goddess of Mercy stands on the temple compound and can be seen clearly by the all motorists along the road. Every 1st and 15th day of the Lunar month, hundreds of devotees converge on the temple from dawn till dusk for their worship and prayers with colourful flower and fruit offering.
Lim Fah Shan temple is situated opposite Chonglin Park, Kuching. It is one of the famous temples in Kuching, boasting of its giant sized white Guan Yin Statue at the front greeting everyone passing by the road. The temple is the largest and longest (and probably best looking) temple in Kuching.

the back.

砂劳越古晋林华山观音堂，其后头原为“福善堂”是崇拜“无极天尊”的先天教斋堂，成立于
1867年前，现观音堂最久可考之物，是1902年留下的对联；在1907年的捐缘碑上，它的绝大部分捐款都是来自当时客家矿工聚居的帽山地区，说明这是一间客家人的观音庙。
