The rebranding of hotels being managed by the Sarawak Economic Development Corporation (SEDC) is part of a three-pronged strategy to cushion the impact of the current economic slowdown, its chairman Datuk Talib Zulpilip said today.
1) Rebranding 2) Cost-cutting 3) Readjusting the projected annual revenues
1) Holiday Inn Kuching renamed to Grand Margherita Hotel 2) Crowne Plaza Riverside Kuching renamed to Riverside Majestic Hotel have been renamed Grand Margherita Hotel and Riverside Majestic Hotel respectively effective January 1, 2009
