Kuah Ferry Terminal, Langkawi Island

Kuah Jetty in Kuah town is Lankawi's main ferry point (or terminal)

Kuah Jetty is located in Kuah Town, the capital of Langkawi. If you are planning to arrive or leave Langkawi by ferry or boat, this is where you will need to board or disembark. Several cruise ships from Klang, Singapore, and other countries also come and dock here. Kuah Jetty is the main ferry terminal in Langkawi.

Kuah Town is Langkawi Island’s main town.

The town is the arrival point for most of the ferries from Peninsula and from Thailand.

Kuah is a deep sea port. You do not see beaches here. Those white stretches of beaches are  located elsewhere on other side of Langkawi Island.

Go to Pantai Cenang and Pantai Tengah  for your white beaches and clear crystal ocean water.

 

1 Langkawi Sky Bridge

Must visit key tourist attraction. A good place for those like hiking or walking. The walk on the bridge is a worthwhile experience providing some nice photo opportunities. Beware that the breeze is strong on the bridge.

Langkawi Sky Bridge on the mountain  is reach from the foothill by cable cars. From Cable Car end station to the Sky Bridge which you can either

1- 10 minutes’ walk down a jungle trail or
2- Two minutes Sky Glider of 94 meters track gliding down to Sky Bridge. (Rm10 return)

Buy a ticket at the foothill or once you get up to the mountain.

Windy in the top and with an optional nature walk RM10 per person.

Basic package with cable rm55 for adult international tourists.

Awesome experience and walking on bridge give you a shaky legs effects plus a solid beautiful views of surroundings islands. Views of hills on one side and clear blue sea on the other.

Good to start early in the morning as there werent't any queue. when Sky bridge was'nt overcrowded and therefore was opportunity to make nice photos.

With same ticket you can enter to 3D Art Museum what is worth to visit also- a lot of fun to children and adults.

2) KTM Komuter train from Padang Besar to Arau (3.20 MYR - 20 minutes)

3) Taxi from Arau Railway Station to Kuala Perlis Jetty (around 26 MYR - 20 to 30 minutes).

4) Boat from Kuala Perlis to Kuah on Langkawi (18 MYR).

Boats take one hour to one hour 15 minutes to make the crossing and 10 trips a day.

Padang Besar is the last stop of railway line from Thailand.
