Bintulu Port is at the doorstep of one of the most dynamic industrial development zones of Borneo.

Bintulu Port is surrounded by and connected to a network of roads, which provide efficient transport links to other parts of Borneo.

Bintulu Port is located at the centre of the Peninsula Malaysia-Singapore-Sarawak-Brunei-Sabah shipping routes.

Bintulu Port has one of the deepest depths alongside compared to any other berthing facilities in Borneo.

Bintulu Port is strategically located to facilitate feedering and trans-loading operations between various regional ports for faster shipping transit time to major international ports and export destination.

Strategically located along the busy sea trade route between the Far East and Europe at Latitude 03 16'N, Longitude 113 04'E on the northeast coast of Sarawak, Malaysia. Bintulu Port poised to be the main gateway into the BIMP-EAGA Region for container and conventional seaborne trade. Bintulu Port can be approached through a dredged access channel about 6km long, 240 meters wide and a declared depth of 15 meters.

 

 


Bintulu Port is managed and operated by Bintulu Port Sdn. Bhd. (BPSB), a company set up in 1993 to take over all port facilities and services in the port under a government policy on privatization. The organizational structure consists of a Chairman, Board of Directors, a Managing Director as the Chief Executive Officer and Senior Managers heading the various divisions. In 2001, our Holding Group - Bintulu Port Holdings Berhad was listed on KLSE main board.
