TAWAU INDIAN HINDU TEMPLE ASSOCIATION
-------------------------------------------------------
To All Our Dear And Valued Members, Donors And Well Wishers

2017 Thaipusam Celebrations

First of all, I wish to extend each and everyone of you our New Year greetings and a very warm Vanakam. May this year be a blessed one to all of you.

On behalf of the Tawau Indian Hindu Temple Association, I am once again pleased to inform that the Temple will be celebrating this auspicious occasion of Thaipusam as it has been practicing in the past.

Special prayers will be held every evening commencing 28th January to 11th February 2017. The grand occasion is on 9th February 2017, which is the day of Thaipusam during which, there will be a Kavadi procession in the morning followed by the Chariot procession in the evening.

Details pertaining to the prayers and processions are shown in the enclosed leaflet. It is a norm during this period for the Temple to seek and raise funds and this fund raising is conducted only once a year. Generally, the Association very much relies on subscriptions and donations to finance the monthly operating and maintenance costs of the Temple which ranges between RM 100,000 — RM 150,000 per year.

In this regard, we are pleased to state that the donations received for Thaipusam last year was very encouraging and we express our sincere appreciation and gratitude to all of you for your generosity. Your kindness has in many ways enabled the Temple Committee to manage the Temple effectively for the benefit of all worshippers.

Accordingly, we look forward to your continued support and appreciate your contributions towards the Temple. All contributions are to be addressed to "Tawau Indian Hindu Temple Association" and this will be validated with an official receipt of the Association. The names of all donors together with their respective amount would be published in the Association's Annual Report.
We thank you in anticipation of your generosity and kind support.

May the Lord's Blessings be with you always.

In the Lord's name, we serve

Thank you.
