Flat-bodied jumping spiders with patches of iridescent scales, usually seen on leaves in sunshine

Classification
Order Araneae · Family Salticidae (jumping spiders) · Subfamily Salticinae · Tribe Euophryini · Genus Thiania C. L. Koch, 1846. Older pages on this site filed it under "Euophryinae"; that group is now treated as a tribe (Euophryini) inside the subfamily Salticinae.
What to look for
A low, flat body; the carapace longer than broad; scales that shine green, blue, bronze or gold; and a first pair of legs that is darker and stouter than the others, often fringed with hairs in males.
