Sabah Tourism Academy was set up in 2017 to provide training for
1- Tourism
2- Hospitality
3- Culinary arts

Setting up the academy cost around RM30-40 million and able to cater to 400 students.
Malaysia has 93 Community Colleges and 34 polytechnics.
The aim of Community Colleges is to develop and nurture young people for the sake of their socio-economic development.

There are 11 Community Colleges in Malaysia are operating and offering culinary arts programmes.

Polytechnic Education	Community Colleges
Provides relevant technological or entrepreneurial education and training. These are aimed at upgrading basic skills as well as to promote research and development projects in collaboration with businesses and industries.	Aim to provide life-long learning opportunities for the community and high school graduates particularly those who study under the vocational stream. Students will be trained, ‘re-skilled’ or ‘up-skilled’, leading to the award of certificate qualification.
