We got up early the day we headed to Mabul Island, eager to
spend more time on the beach and see a little more of Borneo from below the
surface. We were about a 45 minute boat ride away from some world premiere
dive sites in the Celebes Sea and we didn’t want to miss out. Plus it was
going to be our last real adventure in Malaysia before baling for Indonesia.
Our boat pulled up to the dock at Uncle Chang’s Backpackers Lodge on Mabul
at around 8:30 a.m., just in time for breakfast.........
