Bukit Gemok haze

Gray view of Bukit Gemok on 8 October 2006 (above) during the haze. The air pollution, which had enveloped Sabah since the end of September 2006 is expected to gradually ease due to more rain in the coming few days.

The Meteorological Services Department in a statement dated 11 October 2006 said the haze has some improvement, due to convective activities and rain.  On 11 October 2006 the haze in Sabah improved slightly, with visibility at Tawau, Sandakan and Kota Kinabalu fluctuating between 2km and 4km.

452 hotspots were detected in Indonesia that caused this air pollution in Malaysia and Singapore.

Blue sky, white rain cloud, clear colorful view of Bukit Gemok is what should always be as seen in below photo taken on 17th September 2006 (2 weeks before the haze started)
