Puteri Nursing College (PNC) is a private nursing college owned and managed by KPJ. The establishment of PNC marked a turning point in the development of Nursing Education in Malaysia as PNC is the first Nursing Training Institution to be named a “College” and the first to start the Diploma in Nursing Programme recognized by Malaysia Ministry of Health.

The first official premise of PNC was the three-storey building along Jalan Pahang, beside Pusat Pakar Tawakal, Kuala Lumpur.

Reputed to be the first private nursing college to start Diploma in Nursing Programme, PNC launched its training education with the first batch of 30 students in September 1991. Headed by the 3 pioneer Nurse Lecturers, the group has successfully completed the 3-year programme with 100% passes on 24th September 1994. PNC is also the premier college to be affiliated with internationally renowned universities for several post basic programmes.

Several Memorandums of Understanding have been signed between PNC and foreign counterparts to conduct advanced nursing programmes at PNC. PNC’s endeavors for producing qualified, caring, efficient and respectable graduates are strongly supported by an academic core group of dedicated, dynamic and experienced lecturers. 

PNC International College of Nursing And Health Sciences is the first nursing school in 1991 to present the first diploma nursing programme implemented by the Health Ministry of Malaysia

All nursing colleges in Malaysia followed suit the following year in 1992.

PNC is a subsidiary of Kumpulan Perubatan Johor the Health care Division of Johor Corporation. It is a private nursing college owned and managed by KPJ. Kumpulan Perubatan Johor is one of the largest health care groups in Malaysia offering diverse and integrated range of healthcare services.

PNC is reputed to be the first private nursing college to initiate the Diploma in Nursing Programme. The college launched its training and education with a first intake of 30 students in September 1991, with the culminations of 100% passes in the Malaysian Nursing Board Final examination three years later 1994.

Since then, PNC International College of Nursing And Health Sciences has maintained a significant track record of 100% passes for every intake of its students. By the end of December 2005, PNC had successfully enrolled 1,801 nursing students which include 1,125 in Diploma in Nursing holders.

PNC International College of Nursing And Health Sciences has actively towards recruited international students ever since the approval was granted by the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Home Affairs in August 2003. With the Accreditation of its Diploma in Nursing program in October 2004 by the National Accreditation Board and the approval provided for International students to sit for the Malaysian Nursing Board Registration Examination in December 2004, PNC is confident that the total enrolment of international students will increase steadily. To date, PNC has registered international students from China, Nigeria, Nepal, Myanmar, Indonesia, Vietnam and United Kingdom.

Over the last 15 years, PNC has significantly and actively trained and produced high caliber nurses to meet both organizational and national needs. PNC conducts several collaborative programs with national reputable foreign universities for various courses namely Bachelor of Nursing, Nurses Education / Teaching, Critical Care Nursing, Paediatric Nursing, Renal Nursing and Health Management and Leadership programs with University of South Australia, Paedistric Nursing with Edith Cowan Universities, Western Australia and the Operating Department Practice program with Liverpool John Moores University, United Kingdom
