This is further complemented and supported by a strong team of experts comprising medical consultants, senior nurses, allied health professionals and trained clinical instructors. With the commitment of KPJ's 17 state-of-the-art hospitals consisting of more than 2,000 beds/ more than 500 medical consultants as well as more than 6,000 staff treating more than 1.2 million outpatients and 150/000 inpatients, PNC has a competitive advantage when training its students.

Acknowledging that human capital is our greatest strength and asset PNC through the KPJ Group of Hospitals provides the option of full sponsorship for eligible students with guaranteed employment upon graduation. Other sources of financial aid include PTPTN and other private financial institutions.

Reputed not only to be the first private nursing college to initiate a Diploma in Nursing Programme, PNC is also the first to have its Diploma in Nursing Programme accredited by the Lembaga Akreditasi Negara (LAN). Set apart with a unique competitive edge, PNC launched its training with a first intake of 30 students in September 1991, Since then PNC has maintained its tradition of academic excellence with 100% success rate in the Nursing Board Terminal Examination. PNC now offers ten programmes which include Diploma in Nursing, Diploma in Medical Imaging, Diploma in Pharmacy, Diploma in Physiotherapy, Certificate in Health Management and Leadership, Critical Care Nursing, Renal Nursing, Paedriatic Nursing, Operating Department Practice Course and Nurse Education/Teaching. PNC's roles and objectives have become more significant in line with the growth of the industry, responding promptly to the human capital requirement for nurses and allied healthcare professionals to meet the needs of other private and public healthcare institutions in the country To date PNC has produced approximately 2,000 Nursing and 500 Healthcare professionals with Degree, Diploma and post-graduate specialization qualifications. The current student population of PNC stands at 1,300.

This tradition of academic excellence is further enhanced and galvanized by a team of dedicated, well qualified and widely experienced lecturers who inspire students to unleash their potential and develop holistically. PNC has built strong international alliance with foreign universities primarily from Australia and United Kingdom, This successful cooperation and alliance has provided PNC with an enriched combination of resources - advanced, unique and professional support of quality and diversity. As early as 1994 PNC forged a sound working relationship with University of South Australia (UniSA) to undertake several nurse education programs. PNC and UniSA have collaboratively trained 1 77 Critical Care Nurses; 65 graduates in Teaching and Education for Senior Nursing Officers, Nurse Lecturers and Nurse Instructors, and 235 Heads of Services and Executives in Healthcare Management and Leadership, The college has also collaborated with Edith Cowan University and Curtin University, Western Australia for post-basic nursing education. Through PNC's continuing ties with Liverpool John Moores University, United Kingdom for the Operating Theatre Practice Programme since 1997, 132 Trained Theater Practitioners have been produced.
