Two new hotels opened shortly before 2011 are Shervinton Hotel and Prince Hotel. Both hotel are facing each other across the road and both hotel use the latest classy color : Earthly-Gold color.

This newly popular color Earthly-Gold gave Tawau a fresh and new modern look. Visitors to Tawau are now having more choices of hotels to choose and receive better services.

New hotels give Tawau a modern look and this once dirty town is now getting cleaner and cleaner each day. The Town Board authority has done a good job in removing street children and beggars once occupied main corners of Tawau. (But beggars are back to streets again in 2022 after two years of Covid-19 endemic)

LOCATION
Prince Hotel located at Jalan Bunga, the Hotel Street, where most of the new budget hotels concentrated.
Everything is within walking distance. The many budget hotels here means for just a few more dollars, you could find a better hotel on the same street.

The area is also a dense entertainment area with many pub and karaoke, and restaurant.

There is a spa center on the 1st floor.

EATING OUT
There is no in house restaurant in the hotel. It is unnecessary because that area is Food Area with many restaurants, food stalls and coffee shop.

WALL PAPER
One of the unique interior of the rooms is Wall Paper. Wall paper was a population boutique decoration decades ago in Malaysia. The use of wall papers gain less popularity now because of difficulty in maintenance in a hot a humid country.
The hotel is a place where guests still can feel the classy boutique of the pass.
