Ceratosolen fusciceps is a pollinating fig wasps which are gall-makers (膽囊製造者).
Pollinating fig wasps either make their own galls or usurp 侵佔 the galls of other fig wasps
Inside a fig fruit, empty flower ovules after the wasps emerged
Flower ovules that receive an wasp egg become galled and the larvae consume the gall tissue. The adult offspring emerge from the gall and mate inside the fig fruit, before the winged female wasps disperse, carrying the flower pollen with them.
Pollinated flowers missed by the wasps (not galled) produce one seed each.
