Madai Waterfall in Kunak 85 minutes (64 Km) from Lahad Datu to Madai Fall Entrance Carpark 1 hour (52 km) from Madai Waterfall to round about of Kunak/Tawau |
Madai Falls which is located near Kunak town. From Tawau Town, drive towards the Lahad Datu. Pass straight Kunak Town junction and do not turn toward Kunak Town instead continue straight toward Lahad Datu. Pusat Sejadi Hutan Simpan Madai Baturong Kunak Forest Reserve
is 10 minutes after the Kunak Junction.
When you see a green roof bus stop on your right hand side you know
you have reached.
This is a small
and well maintained public puck with restroom and shower facilities. Entrance fee to the forest reserve park is RM2.00.
Short walk down the staircase is Madai Fall.

Wednesday, February 10, 2010 Sipadan-Kunak-Tawau Weekend Adventure Driving 120km in a Kancil made the front portion and dash board shake, rattle and roll. After driving like Evel Knievel for almost an hour, I reached my first destination- - Madai Falls. Nothing can prepare you for the waterfall's aura because the moment I laid my eyes on the waterfall, I was enchanted. With the height of a 5 storey building and green moss growing behind it, you can't help but fall in love with this easily accessible waterfall....

Kawasan rekreasi itu merupakan antara destinasi pelawat ketika
cuti sekolah dan hujung minggu. Kawasan yang terletak kira-kira 15
kilometer dari pekan Kunak itu, adalah pusat sejadi Hutan Simpan
yang diselia oleh Jabatan Perhutanan Sabah (Kunak).
