Honored by Asian Golf Monthly magazine in 2000 as being the best golf course in Asia, Shan Shui occupies a very special site in Sabah, Malaysia.

The owner of Shan Shui, Datuk Kour Nam Ngum, recognized the sites special attributes and allowed Nelson & Haworth free reign over its 350 acres. The resultant 18 hole course winds its way around the full site, making the most of its dramatic elevation changes, remnant tropical rainforest and surging river. Special holes include the par 4, 15th hole (voted the best par 4 in Asia), the par 5, 5th (voted the best par 5 in Asia) and the par 4, 17th.

Datuk Kour Nam Ngum was formerly chairman and CEO of Comsa Farms Berhad.

In 2013 Datuk was appointed as Tawau Swiftlets Association protem chairman. The Association is sipported by 4,000 swiftlet farmers in Sabah.

Shan Shui is a dream course for golfers of any level. Carved out of natural jungle terrain golfers will experience Borneo at it's best. Wildlife, flora and fauna are in abundance. Rated as one of the best course in Sabah and possibly in Malaysia too, it's length and degree of difficulty has a rating of 74 and a slope of 143.

Shan Shui Golf & Country Club also provides other facilities such as pro-shop, changing rooms, swimming pool, jacuzzi and sauna, restaurant serving scrumptious local favourites, as well as cozy wooden chalet accommodations.
