| The Diploma in Accounting (DIA) programme offered in Open
University Malaysia (OUM) aims to produce competent graduates.
The learners will be exposed to areas such as management accounting, financial accounting, taxation, auditing, economics and finance which will provide them an opportunity to enhance their skills and knowledge. Careers related to accounting are banking, finance, insurance, risk management, broking, investment, actuarial work and procurement. Through this programme, learners are expected to get onto the first rung of ladder to move up within their organisations. Graduates are expected to be able to serve in business and non-business organisations. In order to qualify for the diploma, a minimum of 90 credit hours of approved courses are required.
