• Too many individual operators, with boats in deplorable conditions & no fixed schedule of departure
• Water sport & recreational activities are concentrated in TAR islands – non-existent in Tg Aru Beach & Likas Bay area (within 10-15 minutes from KK City


Key outcome / benefit of this project
• Additional tourism receipts for the State
• Adding a maritime character to the city, enhancing the tourism attraction
• Current upgrading & beautification works of Sembulan River will be further enhanced


Enablers Required to make it happen
• New construction & development of 10 – 13 jetties & 2 dry docks, acquisition of boats & water sport equipment
• Operating water taxi & water sports activities in Tg Aru Aru & Likas Bay Area
• Current upgrading & beautification works of Sembulan River will be further enhanced
