Sin Chew Daily Education Fund 2010
 

Sin Chew Daily, the popular Chinese stream newspaper offering 9 million Ringgit Malaysia full scholarship for Malaysian students in year 2010.
The scholarship aim to give opportunity for those economic disability students to complete their higher education.

Eligibility


The applicant must be a Malaysian citizen below 26 years of age as at 1st January 2010.
Student must possess good results in SPM/A-Level?STPM/UEC or other equivalent qualification.
Students must active in sport and extra-curricular acitivities
Students must not be bonded or in receipt of any financial aid or rewards from other education organisations or institutions
Students must meet the minimum requirement set by the colleges/universities in order to be qualify for selection
Different colleges/universities and courses have different entry requirements. Please refer directly with the colleges/universities concerned for more details.

How to Apply
Download the application form from the bottom link of this article, and printed out clearly or be written legibly and must be accompanied by the required documents and must be submitted before the published closing date. Proof of posting is not proof of receipt. The selected course(s) must be clearly written or printed on the top left hand corner of the envelop. 1. Funded students in need of financial assistance to complete tertiary education, and to assist them to take higher education institutions at home and abroad provided by the free diploma / degree courses.
2. Further enhance the "Sin Chew Daily", as well as providing free education degree courses partners corporate image: to embody the spirit of the humanities and shoulder care to the poor and vulnerable groups, as well as help raise the level of education, and other cultural institutions.

Scholarship applications steps
1. Sin Chew interactive web site in the electronic application form, complete, complete information.
2. Print out the form (of two).
3. At the same time, printed scholarship application form (a total of 13). Completed forms, together with the above table (item 2) and related documents mailed to the following address. (Scholarship application forms - a total of 13)

Application procedures
All letters must be written statement or printed neatly clear. Once the applications are found false or deliberately concealed material false information will be immediately eliminated. Accompanying the necessary documents must be submitted with the application to. Late submitted applications will not be accepted. Applicants must comply with the following conditions
* From January 1, 2008 and retire, still below the 26-year-old Malaysian citizen. Scholarships for university graduates who are not within the scope of this Ordinance. "Sin Chew Daily" and participate in the scholarship of the institute, the University of staff and their immediate families not apply.
* Diploma in Education in Malaysia (SPM) / ALevel / High school diploma Malaysia (STPM) / independent examination or other equivalent examinations obtained outstanding achievements.
* Active in sports and extra-curricular activities.
* No, not bound to any college or support provided by the gold / scholarships.
* During the interview, scholarships selected must submit genuine diploma.
* Jury selected is the result of the final decision, any request or complaint will not be dealt with.
* Students must meet college / university under the performance standards in order to be eligible to be selected scholarships.
* All colleges, universities and courses have different entry qualifications, applicants will be allowed to visit Sin Chew Daily Education Fund website: http://www.sinchew-i.com/edu/special/scedufund05/ enquiries or directly to the college concerned , University enquiries.
* More details of the application and regulations, please refer to the application form in the regulations.
* Chinese and English versions of a meaning if the conflict should be based on the meaning of the English version shall prevail.
* Colleges and universities have the right to participate in the replacement of the above courses without notice. Will not be accepted any objection.
* "Sin Chew Daily" to omissions of the above rules, without notice. Any objection, without treatment.

Sin Chew Daily Education Fund


The Sin Chew Daily Education Fund was launched in December 2003 and was made available to eligible students from 2004 onwards.

The Fund acts as an umbrella for higher educational institutions who are interested in providing free education, in terms of fee waiver, towards educating exceptional and needy students. The objective of the Fund is to provide free education to eligible students leading to the award of Diploma or Bachelor's degree qualifications, at local or foreign institutions of higher learning.

Applicant s Eligibility

• Malaysian citizen and must be 26 years and below
• Scholarships are not open to applicants for postgraduate study
• Staff of Sin Chew Daily, participating colleges and universities and their immediate families are not eligible to apply
• The participating colleges and universities reserve the right to make any changes to the scholarships offered without prior notice
• Sin Chew Daily reserves the right to add or change the terms and conditions without prior notice. Any further inquiries on this matter will not be entertained
 

Value of Scholarship

Scholarships cover tuition fees and other relevant fees. However, scholarships are not exchangeable for cash.

How to Apply

Advertisements inviting applicants for the scholarship will appear in Sin Chew Daily between December and March in the following year. Only short-listed applicants will be notified for an interview in the month of April.
