Victor Lim was a body builder in West Malaysia before he came to Jesselton now Kota Kinabalu.

As  young man he had a British Police Office was transferred to North Borneo to serve as the Police Head. He asked this   British police head to get him a job in North Borneo.  Because Lim spoke good English, obedient and hardworking this Police Head offered him the job of police man in Jesselton.

Victor Lim play good hockey in the police hockey team. This Police Head also play in the team. One day there was a hockey match  with another team when the British Police Head was also participating in the match. Victor Lim knew the skill of making someone look good and great. His opportunity came in the match. When the match was in the mid when Victor brought the ball toward the goal where the Police Head was near by and pass the ball to him and alert him by shouting Tuan, Tuan (Sir, Sir), Tuan (the Police Head) saw the chance with the ball just in front of him. With a strong smash, the ball was shot right into the goal.  All audients around the field cheered to the them and the Police Head.

Victor Lim rose up fast in rank in the Sabah Police Department.
